ADSL is limited speed connectivity that is only typically used where FTTC, EoFTTC and Dedicated Leased Lines are not available. If Fibre To The Cabinet (FTTC) isn’t yet available, we will give you the fastest ADSL speeds possible and upgrade you to FTTC at no charge as soon as it is.
Commonly known as Fibre To The Cabinet or FTTC. Unlike many broadband providers, we have a straightforward pricing structure. We’ll help you choose the package that best suits your school’s needs and for a flat rate service fee, we’ll give you the fastest possible speed for your chosen package that’s available in your area
Ethernet Over FTTC (also known as GEA-FTTC) is superior to FTTC. Whilst a FTTC connection can run at up to 80Mbit, users often find this is much lower, especially during peak times.
EoFTTC meets the National Education Network recommendations and fits nicely between normal FTTC and full fibre leased lines with regard to speeds and price. We recommend this for all primary schools where available.
If you require high speed broadband and you’re in an area without access to Superfast Broadband yet, we can install a dedicated leased line for you. Recommended for larger primary schools, a dedicated leased line will give you speeds of up to 1Gbit with a 1:1 contention ratio as the line isn’t shared with anybody else. You’ll have the same upload and download speeds and the service comes with a service level agreement
